Everything has been going pretty great. I have somehow managed to skip over morning sickness completely and the need to take a nap every 5 hours has passed. I can even still fit in my skinny jeans with comfort! Whooo!
At 12 weeks we had our second ultra sound and Chris was able to come with to see. What a change from 6 weeks! Baby Pike was in there moving and a grooving! The little peanut was kicking and waving her/his arms. It was truly amazing to see that little baby moving inside you when on the outside nothing has seemed to change. The purpose of the ultra sound is to check a skin fold on the back of the neck to determine if the baby would have a chance of being born with down syndrome. According to my doctor everything looked great, however we are still awaiting blood tests to get receive the all clear.
We were sent on our way with some pictures of our lime, and told that at 18 weeks we would finally be able to find out what color to paint the nursery! We are counting the days!
