It has been a very exciting 2 weeks! First our little guy kicked me for the first time! I was laying by the pool catching some rays when I felt the first little poke. I gasped excitedly, grabbed my belly and yelled for Chris to come feel. But before he could drop his paint brush and come running he kicked one more time and settled down to sun his buns. Daddy was very disappointed that he was quiet after that......but I know this will just be the beginning!
On Sunday we started the daunting task of registering for everything this little guy will need when he comes screaming into our world. All I can say is WOW! When we got Kiara all we needed was a crate, a few bowls, food, some toys and a collar. Why in the world do babies need all this stuff? Oh, and why don't they tell you this before you get knocked up? We were in the first 4 isles for well over an hour. We felt a little better seeing the other soon to be parents wondering around with a dazed & terrified looks on their faces. After 3 hours we left and still had a long list of items we had missed. They should really try to make this experience more user friendly for new parents!
Friday was my monthly doctors appointment and everything was A OK! We heard Kellen's heartbeat right away and Dr. Emerick said everything sounds great! He also still says my weight is right where it needs to be..... however I am feeling more and more like a manatee. It is now impossible to cover up my baby bump...... but who would want to? Manatee's are the new super model!
