Sunshine Baby~ 24 Weeks

Busy busy buys... when your preparing for a new baby! This week we toured the 2 hospitals that are in our area to see which one we would be using for Kellen's birth. After careful consideration of both places we have picked Wellington Regional. Our main reason for the choice is they have a level 3 NIC unit. Which means no matter what complication occurs they can take care of him right there. Plus a lactation nurse is available there 24/7 in case I fail miserably at this whole breast feeding adventure! Wellington also offers free classes like the ABC's of Breast Feeding, Lamaze, and Infant CPR which we plan on taking. Having this major decision behind us is such a huge relief!

I am trying very hard to take time each day to relax and rest. It's so hard for me to slow down and not work to hard. I am so used to always go go go.... to stop and take a nap when there is laundry that needs to be done or dogs that need to be walked is impossible for me. But I am on doctor's orders! So in that mind set I bought a pink raft and enjoyed our pool today. I was so excited to be able to be on my tummy and not feel like I was laying on a watermelon. Not to mention I got some sun on my buns!

Kellen is on a nice little routine. I know when he sleeps and can almost set my watch by when he will start kicking and swimming around. Of course he is most active at night when I lay down. He sleeps all day while I walk pups. As each week passes I become more and more amazed by this experience.
