According to Wikipedi a babymoon is a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby. I laughed at the idea when some of our friends brought it up. However I have to say after this past weekend I highly recommend it! Chris surprised me with booking us a weekend in Clearwater Beach for our babymoon and my birthday.
Clearwater is a very special place for us..... we took our first big vacation there when we started dating. It was there we fell in love with the Florida way of life and only 8 months later moved there. It was also there that Chris proposed on our beach. So heading back over for a weekend of fun in the sun with our pups was just what the doctor ordered! It was so relaxing and our babies had the times of their lives! I can honestly say it was a perfect weekend.
Back to the doctor today for my bi-weekly checkup. My belly is growing just as it should and I have been tracking his kicking daily. I no longer look at the scale when the nurse weighs me and advised her to keep that info to herself if she knows whats good for her! We will worry about that after Kellen is here safe and sound!
