7 Weeks Kellen Takes Aim

Why didn't anyone tell me about little boys and their penis's? As soon as you open that diaper and the cold air hits him it shoots off. He has peed on the wall, up over his head, in his ear and of course on me sooo many times. He also hit Daddy, Grandma, Aunt Emily, Aunt Sarah and his Doctor. Not to mention on our bed, couch, and many many times in the tub. You would think I would learn by now but he still gets me! The last time he surprised me and I screamed as I tossed a blanket over it. My scream of shock startled him and he jerked his feet up and it shot up and completely covered him. If you could have seen the look on his face! It was so priceless. I am now learning to cover his little weapon up.... so hopefully no more surprises!

Sleep and Kellen are still an ongoing battle. It seems we take two steps forward and the 5 steps back. Last night he had me up with him till 4am. We started him on a routine last night. we have bath then bottle then bed. However Kellen has yet to read the memo.... so it will take sometime. We are going to be very persistent!

It never ceases to amaze me how much he changes on a daily basis. He loves to sit and stare at us. We make faces and talk to him and he laughs and I mean really laughs at us. I can already see he will have our sharp sense of humor. The kid is going to be unstoppable!

Mommy is finally back at the gym and on a healthy diet. So I should be in bikini shape in no time at all. Ha! I have a feeling that taking the weight off is not going to be as easy.... or near as fun as it was putting it on. I really am finally feeling pretty much back to normal as far as my health and state of mind. Kellen and I are settling into a nice routine during the day. It's still way to hot out here to take him for walks. But we have been in the swimming pool a few times. We are just getting our feet wet so to speak... we do bobs and move around. I put him on his back with his head in the water and we practice kicking. I just want him very used to the water so that when I start teaching him to swim he is already used to the water. From the way he acts in the water I think we have a future Olympian. Watch out Michale Phelps!

He is already changing so much. His eyes are open more and he looks so content. I remember those times with the pee just coming out. It happened for the first time to me in the doctor's office, I screamed, it got everywhere!! After that I kept a little wash cloth on him while I changed him. Good times!!

That boy has got some good genes!! I voted for ganster baby...I dressed Maddox up in a little tux for a wedding and it was adorable! He looked like a little gangster...he has an attitude like one too (Chad says he's hyper like me)! I hope Kellen's temperment is calm and cool...he looks pretty chill in all of his pictures. Give that boy a bunch of kisses from Cincinnati!
