At our check up this this month
Kellen weighed in at 25.13 and my arms are really getting rock solid from carrying him around. He can now do so big, clap his hands, give high five, and we are so close to waving goodbye. The first time he did so big I was jumping up and down squealing, crying, and clapping. Anyone watching me would have thought I just hit lotto, and all though I have never won lotto I have to say there is no way it feels as amazing as seeing my baby do something for the first time. It is now his "go to move" when he wants a laugh from the crowd, or to impress the ladies. Adorable.
Still no luck with crawling, but man can he move on his belly. He can now pull himself off the ground to a standing position, and can move around holding onto furniture. Grandma may be right, Kellen might skip crawling completely.
Bedtime is handled by Daddy since he gets to spend so little time with him during the week. Chris is so amazing with him, truly amazing. I love watching them together, first tubby time, then they relax in the rocking chair and read. Kellen picks whi
ch books for them and he knows what he likes. If you pick a book he is not interested in he pushes it away and then leans over to the bookcase to choose. He has
four books he LOVES and each night he must have all four of them. He also loves to have his books in his crib when we have quiet time each day. After story time he will eat a bottle and rock and then right to bed. No one can put Kellen to sleep like Daddy.
We are starting to plan Kellen's First Birthday Party! Very exciting and very sad at the same time. One year ago I was holding my belly and dreaming what our little bo
y would look like, how would he be, and I can say that there is no way we could have ever hoped or prayed for a more amazing, wonderful, special, son. There are no words for how blessed we feel.
