Our trip to the Doctor this month should have brought a few shots.... but because we are pushing Chicken Pox till his 2nd birthday and have decided against getting the H1n1 vaccine (way to new) he only had to get his last Dtap booster. We found out his growth is starting to slow down and he is no longer rocking the 90th percentile for height or weight he dropped to 85th but for the circumference of his head he continues to push 100 percent. He weighed in at 29 pounds 10 ounces and his height was 31 inches.
Kellen should be saying 8 to ten words at this point and at press time our final count was ten.
Dada, Mama, Cat, Dog, Fish, This, Bottle, Bird, Yucky, Hot, and thanks to me Shit. Plus a whole host of other words we cant quite decipher. Our favorite one is hot, he points at candles or the stove and says "Hot, hot" and then tries to touch it, so we still need to learn what hot means. But we are right on track!
Kellen is always climbing, and hence he is always falling. I really try my best to keep up on him and try to catch him... but he really seems to have a knack for taking the worst spills when I have my back turned for two seconds. So far he has fallen off the couch, and fell while walking at least five times. Each time he bites his lip and makes me have ten thousand heart attacks while I make sure that he has not split his lip. I guess this is what having a boy is all about.
At the end she told us Kellen is perfect and of course we have to agree!
