36 Weeks ~ Mommy-Zilla

What a difference a week makes. I am huge and I feel like a giant lumbering monster. Walking is now a luxury I cannot afford. I can not even walk my own pups around the block without getting horrific back pain and leg cramps. It's so sad! Plus my feet and hands are so very swollen, its truly uncomfortable and freaky to look at! Daddy says I walk around like Mommy-Zilla with my waddling and groaning and I fear his analogy is spot on! Not to mention shortness of breath and I can hardly eat a whole meal anymore. One piece of pizza and I am done! My book says Kellen is smooshing my stomach and lungs. I hope my stomach stays smooshed after he leaves! But with all my moaning and complaining I do realize that I have been blessed with a beautiful, special pregnancy that I have treasured. So one month of pain and misery and I will just have to suck it up!

Sunday night I was up till 330am with some very interesting pains. My whole stomach would tighten up and become very hard accompanied by pressure pains below. Sleeping was out so I stayed up and watched tivoed Dateline's back to back. By Monday am the pains and pressure had passed.

At my doctor's appointment this week I found out those were contractions and after my first internal exam.....YIKES he said my cervix is beginning to dimple. He said I could go at any day or could be 2 weeks, but he would be surprised if I made it to July 22. I advised Grandma to pack up the car now!

Just to be on the safe side I started washing all of Kellen's clothes and putting them away. We also have his bag for the hospital packed and thanks to Grandma his beautiful car seat has arrived. You should have seen the pups and kitty's checking it out. So adorable! Now all I have to do is get my hospital bag together, then we will be ready and waiting....... for Kellen to pick his birthday!
