We had quite the false alarm this week and it was such a huge disappointment! We really thought he was on his way! At my doctor's appointment Tuesday Daddy came with me. I thought it was important for them to meet before the delivery room where I am cursing his name and throwing objects at him. We found out I was 1.8 centimeters dilated and 70% effaced. Some change but nothing to jump up and down about. Doctor Emerick even mentioned that if I have not gone into labor by July 28Th he will induce me. UGH.
After we went to visit Kellen's new pediatrician and then out to dinner. It was around 6pm that I started experiencing horrific cramps. They would come and go and come and go and WOW! On top of the pains I was also experiencing heavy bleeding. We started timing the contractions and found they were about one minuet apart and lasting about 25 seconds. Just to be on the safe side I called my doctor and they sent us to the hospital. After about an hour there on the monitors we found out it was a false alarm. The nurse told me real contractions would be much worse. Fantastic!
Kellen is now up and active all night long. There is no way to sleep or even lay down. His kicking is absolutely brutal. So we watch late night TV, play on the Internet, oh and write our blog! Once we see daddy off to work I lay down and sleep till around 1pm. Looks like Kellen will be quite the night owl. Our false alarm has forced Grandma to spring into action. She is starting the drive down tomorrow and will be here by Friday.
Hopefully only one more week to go before Kellen will be here to join our family!

That sounds like a good practice run! We are all praying for a happy, healthy, and speedy birth here in Cincy! Your blog has become quite famous at my workplace considering that I check it first thing every day! I'm looking forward to pics of the little man. Don't forget that your body has evolved over hundreds of thousands of years to accomplish this very thing. You were born to have this baby! You can do it!

Hi Eileen!!!
Lalaneya and I are down in N.Carolina right now visiting with the great grandparents. We decided to check the blog for any news. I therorized that no news might be good news. Hope all is well. Lalaneya said hello and Cougar is giving you a high pitched squeal right now (I'm sure that means good luck!)
