10 Weeks

We have found a new Doctor that will work with our schedule and so Kellen had his first set of vaccines yesterday. I was sick to my stomach all week long and even had nightmares. But after all that worrying he was such a good boy! We had the nurses give both shots at the same time so it was over quickly! Mommy cried more than Kellen did. No more worrying till next month! Kellen weighed in at 16 pounds 4 ounces! His Doctor also asked us how tall we are and did some quick math and predicted that Kellen would be 6'3 give or take an inch. Daddy was over the moon to here that! NBA watch out!

Over the weekend we took Kellen to pick out his very first pumpkin. Only the little guy slept through the whole trip. So we had to pick one for him! With Halloween just around the corner we have picked his very first costume. Thanks so much for your votes... but in the end I found one that I really loved not pictured. You will have to wait to see it! But let me just say soooooo cute!

Kellen is doing amazing. He is such a character! He is starting to use a fake cry to get what he wants. I know the books say they do not do that till 6months but this kid is ahead of the curve! Still working on the sleep issue, right now he spends most nights in his swing. Thank the lord for that swing! He is so funny when you change his diaper he goes into these kicking fits, its adorable. I promise to record it and put it up on you tube!

I will be spending my first night away from Kellen and not by choice! Daddy surprised me with a lovely night out with my girls. We are going to dinner then out to City Place for Girls Night Out event that benefits breast cancer awareness and then a night of uninterrupted sleep at the Marriott followed by breakfast. Sounds amazing and it was so thoughtful of him! However the thought of leaving him even for a night terrifies me. It;s not that I do not trust Chris. It's just I have always had Kellen with me for the past 11months. Not having him near me..... not to mention I do not know if I even know how to be Eileen anymore.... I am just Kellen's Mommy. I have to put on a dress and perfume and makeup oh my! All I wear now is ode da baby spit up!

But I guess that's the point in this night. Paws crossed I will keep you posted of how it goes!
