Kellen aka The Incredible Hulk

Spent some of this morning packing away some more of Kellen's clothes. Some of them he never even got to wear once. It's so hard to see him growing so fast... is it crazy that I already miss my 10 pound little turtle? He is now wearing 3 to 6 month all of his 3 month pieces are way to small... okay keep in mind he is 11 weeks. It's making buying clothes for his trip to Cincinnati very hard. I have no clue what size he will be by then. I am buying 6 to 12 months and hope that will work. He will be 5 months by then so.... yeah that sounds about right!

Kellen absolutely hates to have a blanket on him. He can be in the deepest sleep and you put one gently over him and I swear it's like you just tossed acid on the kid. He will squirm right out of it. But he also hates having his feet covered. So feety pj's are out! His favorite thing to sleep in is the long sleeve onesies. But to make him more comfy we have cut the feet off all his pj's. We really did it because his legs were to long and he could not bend them, but now he is so happy to have those Tootsie's out. He looks so funny like the Incredible Hulk with his feet hanging out of his jagged cut pj's. So cute!


Everyday with him is a new adventure and I am enjoying every second of it. Just watching him is my new favorite hobby. Today he was in his activity center and I was supposed to be cleaning the house. But I sat and watched him watch his blue frog. I must have took 30 pictures. There are times he looks so much like Chris it takes my breath away. But I do see myself from time to time.... mostly when he is pouting, or screaming! Not kidding he looks just like me!

Last week Kellen had his first play date. Well not that much playing went on quite yet. His friend Jack slept and Kellen did quite a bit of drooling. But it was so amazing to introduce them. Lindsey is an old client of mine and we found out we were expecting at the same time. So over the past 9 months we really bonded and helped each other out. It was so nice to have another women to go through the pregnancy with to bounce questions and experiences off each other. Then Jack and Kellen were born one day apart! So this play date was really for us Mom's.... but I cannot wait till they can really play with each other.

I survived my night out without Kellen and it turns out I don't even think he knew he was gone. Daddy made sure to take excellent care of him. Plus he was right I really needed it. We had an excellent dinner, delicious wine, and then cuddled up to watch a spooky movie back at the hotel. Once my head hit the pillow I was out and I slept right through till am. I didn't even get up to tinkle, which has not happened in over a year. It was so blissful. Once again Chris was right. He always is.

Saturday is our 5 year wedding anniversary. It's so hard to believe how quickly these years have passed and how much has changed. But one thing has not.... I am still madly in love with my hubby and feel so blessed to have met him 11 years ago. With no babysitter we will be all going out to dinner. I cannot believe I am going to be that woman that I always hated with the screaming baby in the restaurant..... but I am. I would not have it any other way!
