Kellen will hit 16 weeks on Monday and wow what an amazing 4 months this has been. Our lives have changed so much at,this time last year I had yet to even find out I was prego. But in all actuality I was 4 weeks. I spent Thanksgiving moping about wondering if I would ever be a Mom and dieting when I could have really chowed down! What a waste! Now it seems we have blinked and we are here with Kellen. We truly have so much to be thankful for this year.
Over the past 2 weeks Kellen has become seriously attached to a blue lovie puppy. For those of you who do not know a lovie is a little soft blanket with a puppy head rattle. I had no clue till I was given one at my shower. He LOVES this thing. He can be screaming and we put Blue in his arms and he instantly quiets. He sleeps with it, swings with it, and bounces with it. Daddy and I recognized the attachment and the potential for melt down if for some reason he is MIA decided we needed to get a few back-ups. My neighbor broke the news to us that thy no longer sell them so I turned to eBay and found them for $19.00 a piece! YIKES LOL.... She paid $8bucks. So Daddy found one that looks pretty damn close and we bought 2 more. I am stalking the ones on eBay and hopefully I can find a few more at a more reasonable price!

We are a little behind on our doctor visits so we will not have our 4 month check-up till he is 18 weeks. So no new weight or height update quite yet. That will also be the visit when we discuss baby foods! I am so excited to start the taste testing! To see if he likes peas (Mommy hates them Daddy loves them) or will he be a sweet potato baby (Mommy's favorite) Plus not to mention all the yummy sweet fruits! It's almost time to break out the high chair! I know the pups will love helping him taste and see!
For those of you wondering yes he is still in his bassinet in our room. We are running out of sleeping room and will soon have to make the transition to his crib. We are both very sad to see him move to his own room. We love having him so close... but know that the longer we let this go on the harder it will be for all of us to move him. Once he is in his crib we will have his video monitor hooked up to the TV and sleep with it on all night. That way we can see him on a 32inch screen instead of a 3 inch! Trust me it will help us sleep better!
