K- Money ~ 7 Months

I love rocking Kellen. I love sitting in his room with his ipod music playing, his sea turtle casting blue and green stars all over his room, and his little chubby face pressed up against my chest. Time is moving so fast.... and there is nothing I can do to stop it, but if I can slow down. I can let the dishes stay dirty, the laundry not folded, and just treasure our time with each other. So that's exactly what I do.

At Itsy Bitsy Yoga this week it was only Kellen and Max. We did toes to the nose... Kellen tried to bite his own foot each time, we relaxed on a giant ball, and we did lots of jumping or as Miss Kayla calls it Lumpa. The boys love lumpa lumpa time. Daddy even surprised us by coming by to watch us in action.

Today we are preparing for the arrival of Grandma & Grumppa. They are making the long drive from the bitter Cincinnati cold to our house in sunny Florida. They are staying for 2 weeks and all of us are very excited. Chris and I are sneaking off to Miami for a weekend. We are going to relax on the beach, have a few cocktails and talk about how much we miss Kellen and the pups. Then I am going to give my house a top to bottom scrubbing, I am going to start and finish Kellen's new baby book. Please don't ask me what happened to his last book.... for that story you must speak with Snorky & Giuseppe. Oh and of course I am going to enjoy time with my Mom and Dad.

Next week Kellen has his 7 month vaccination visit. It is his last shot till he turns one, and he is all caught up! He will have his next check up till he is 9 months and hopefully by then he will be crawling around. So far he just turns himself in a circle or pushes himself backwards. But when he is in that walker WATCH OUT! He loves to chase the pups, kitty's, Mommy, and he can turn on a dime. His walker corners like it's on rails!

I also bought him a pair of soft shoes, they are so adorable on him and I am trying to get him used to the idea of wearing them. He really dislikes having his feet covered and I have to live with him. But since I don't want him to be 6 and running around with bare feet I am putting in the work now.

These last 20 pounds are putting up quite the fight and it's driving me crazy! I cannot let them win and so I have decided to give up food for lent. That should do it! My pet sitting business has come grinding to a halt. No one can afford to travel and of course that means no pups to walk. It is so very real when you see your friends being laid off, some losing their homes, cars, and then finally your business that you worked so very hard to build die off. I wonder how George Bush sleeps at night? On a bed of money with no worries I bet.
