Drum Roll Please.....

Kellen is walking. Slowly, very, very slowly, but he is walking! It pretty much happened over night and how often it continues depends on how fast he needs to be somewhere. So since he has the patience of his Mommy, he crawls most places. But every now and again he gets a devilish gleam in his eyes and takes a brave few steps before his chunky legs give out and he crumples to the floor in a heap of giggles. I must say it's flipping adorable!

In other exciting Kellen news we are weaning him off the bottle, much to our dismay. I love watching him hold his bottle, rocking him and feeding it to him. I feel like in many ways
this is the last step in Kellen moving from my baby to my toddler.... and to be honest I just am not ready to let go. But then again will I ever be? Kellen now has his bottle before bed and at his middle of the night feeding and that's it. Otherwise it's sippy cups and big boy food which is a whole other set of challenges. Trying to find food he will eat, picky picky picky! He simply spits out whatever is not to his satisfaction! So far he is loving mac and cheese, grilled cheese, pickles, black beans, yogurt, sliced peaches, grapes, apples, and GoldFish Crackers. He LOVES the fishy, the first time he took a nibble his eyes grew and he let out his very first mmmmmmmmm! Then continued to mmmmm after each chubby handful was shoved in. Every day is a new eating adventure.

Soleil is still trying to learn that Kellen is not a big puppy. She knocks him over, steals his puppy and all his toys, and puts Kiara & Skyler's begging to shame. We have our work cut out for us with this little girl. But she has stolen our hearts and worth it. I don't know what I would have done without her. She is the perfect pup for us.
