Twas the night before Christmas and our Turtle was asleep, and our little reindeer kept stealing presents from under the tree. Daddy had eaten all the cookies with care in hopes that Santa would soon be there!
After we had Kellen tucked into his bed with visions of Yo Gabba Gabba dancing in his head, we buckled down and got to work. Daddy put together the new train table we bought him . While I put all the presents under the tree. Despite our very hard times they were so many gifts for Kellen, it made me tear up quite a bit. Our family & friends sent gifts from all over, and truly made Kellen's Christmas, for that we thank you so much.
This year Chris let me sleep with the tree on at night, always a big no-no in the past, but this year watching the twinkling lights bounce off the sand dollars brought such comfort to me for some reason. Sometimes it's the little things in life that mean the most. Christmas is my favorite holiday, the feeling, the magic of the season. But this year I just could not seem to get my ho,ho, ho up to par. Of course it's because our pups are not here with us, and nothing can change that.
Christmas morning Kellen woke up at 8am and I had Daddy go in and get him ready so i could set up the shot of him walking in and seeing the tree and all the presents. Kellen came running in and ACTION! Well lol the video will speak for it's self and come back soon to see it. But he was very happy and it was very special. It took us two hours to open all the gifts because every single time he opened a present he wanted it open NOW and then he wanted to play with it for at least ten minuets. But I would not change how he opened his gifts, because he truly treasured and loved each gift. I want him to appreciate the thought and the love that each person put in to sending the gifts. I want him to be grateful for what he has.
Our new beautiful baby girl Soleil Summer Sky loves her some Christmas! This pup was stealing presents as fast as I could put them out. She loved her red squeaky football( a special gift from Skyler Blue) and her new kick ass hoodie sweatshirt, a new collar and bling-bling dog tag, and new Halo Dream Coat supplements. Of course we spoiled her... we now know how very special each day is with her. She is one amazing, beautiful, quirky, funny, special pup.
The rest of our Christmas was spent together, the holidays here are always so very sad. No family to spend our time with, and even though friends invite us over it's just never, ever the same. But I am very happy to report that Daddy has promised from now on we will spend Christmas in Cincinnati with our family. : )
