Foster Failure

On only our second attempt at fostering a new golden for the rescue we are now what they call in the business a "foster failure". Bolt is a big, blocky, beautiful golden boy only one year old. The family who had him were keeping him locked in the garage. They just did not have the time to give to him. We were warned that he was bad on a leash, and a lot of dog to handle and at 86 pounds he would be. But they were so wrong. Bolt is the most perfect gentleman on his walks, he is so so sweet, never ever jumps and is just about the best snuggler you could ask for

Bolt is wonderful with Kellen, Soleil and him are the very best of friends, and he is totally obsessed with Sierra. We are in love. Now that is not to say that having two big puppies in our house is not a ton of work, and I have certainly yanked out a few chunks of my hair. Soliel loves to get him out back, she tells him "jump in the pool, come roll in the dirt with me and then lets go sit by the door, they love it". At that point my day is pretty much shot, do you no how long it takes to give to golden's baths and dry them, then mop the floor? Yep a really long time.

We are now a family again, with two golden's , a cat, a baby. But it will never be the same, could never be the same with out Kiara, Skyler, and yes even that asshole Giuseppe. But I am slowly learning that's how life is.
