Where has the time gone? I swear just yesterday I was laying crying on my couch because Kellen was 5 days late and never coming out and I feel as if I blinked and he is 3 months old. It's not that I do not remember every unbelievable minuet of his first 3 months it's just I guess that I did not expect them to fly by this quickly. It's funny how when you are younger you swear each day lasts a year and the older you become the faster the days turn into nights. I really wish I could slow down time just a little. But since I cant I am trying to make sure I create as many memories as I can.
A switch flipped this week on my baby boy turning him from mute to jabber jaws! It is the most amazing thing he loves the sound of his own voice..... I have no idea where he gets that from! First thing in the morning now while I am changing him is when he is the most talkative. I like to think he is telling me about the wonderful dreams he had last night and what he wants to do on our new day together. He also has learned how to laugh and I mean really laugh. If you have not seen the you tube video of him jumping and laughing make sure you look it up http://www.youtube.com/TipsyCherry99 Sooooo funny!
We have been taking our jogging stroller out for a run first thing before it gets to hot out and he loves to laugh at Mommy grunting and sweating as she pushes him around. Just like a man to laugh at a woman while she does all the work!
Babies love routines all my books say! So we have been working the past few weeks to get Kellen on a bedtime routine and it's finally working! Around 730pm we start with bath time then he gets a bottle, then we read him a story and rock him and by 9pm we have him down in his bassinet. Tuesday night he slept from 830pm to 8am! I swear I felt like we won lotto and in a way we did.... the sleep lotto. Which right now is just as good! He still wakes up and fusses when he loses his oui (aka pacifier). But we had the same success Wednesday and Thursday so paws crossed this routine thingy will stick!
