I really love our new pediatrician's office. All the nurses and office staff know us by name and even our Doctor remembers everything about us. Like that Mom is a crazy overprotective freak when it comes to vaccines. They probably write notes in his file about me. Our last place was so big and impersonal which is fine when your picking up your dry cleaning, but not when it comes to your baby. This visit all the nurses came in to see Kellen. They could not believe how chunky his belly and legs were. Of course he charmed them with his unbelievable smile and adorable little wink. I swear! He smiles! Just not for the camera! Kellen weighed in at 19 pounds 15 ounces, his height is 26 and 1/4, and his head 18 1/4. I had him on the scale and he started to whiz. It went up in the air and came down into the sink. Perfect aim! It was so funny... Daddy would have been proud!
Everything checked out great and we were given the go ahead for baby food. We started with bananas and the look on his face was priceless. He likes it.... but he makes crazy faces with every spoon full. Of course I captured it on video and will be posting it later this week. We also are moving from rice cereal to oatmeal. Very exciting!

In other exciting news Kellen has two teeth poking their way through on his bottom gums. TEETH! I thought babies didn't get teeth till they were like 7 months. But Kellen's Doctor says some babies are born with them. Just a little tip, do not let him put your finger in his mouth. Those things are no joke! Not like puppy teeth! He gets a little fussy because he is still trying to work his hands so holding a teething ring is not working out so good. A wet washcloth which we then freeze seems to comfort him the most right now.
Saturday night we took Kellen to see the Christmas Light Boat Parade. People decorate their boats with lights, blow up thingy, music, and fire works. Yep fire works! Loud ones. I thought my little Turtle was going to have a heart attack. I was ready to swim out to that boat and beat that asshole with his jingle bells. But once he passed Kellen sat on my lap and really seemed to love the lights. A good time was had by all!
