With all the wrapping paper in the trash and the Christmas Tree skirt bare once again we still had a pretty tight schedule. Coming home is always so special and wonderful but truly it's never a vacation. There are no beaches to relax on and no yummy drinks with pink umbrellas in them. It is a mad dash from the time you arrive till the time you leave.
Daddy and I decided to take advantage of having so many babysitters. We went to Aunt Mary's Ugly Christmas Sweater party.... so funny & such a good time. We went dancing with a few other couples, went to dinner and drinks with my sis and her man. We went out to have amazing Dewey's Pizza and to the movies to see Marley & Me. Something we have not done since I was 7 months prego. One day we dropped Kellen off at Grandma's house at 1030am and did not come pick him up till 1am. Ha! It was wonderful.

Kiara's 10Th Birthday fell on the warmest day of the month 70 degrees. The day before we were all wearing hats, gloves, scarfs, and every pair of socks we owned. And the next day we were playing softball with all the pups, my nieces and nephew and the rest of my family. My Uncle Bill was kind enough to host Kiara's party. He has a really big fenced in yard and adores our babies. We

Sunday the freezing cold returned just in time for Kellen's baptisim. I prayed that we could make it through the mass without his outfit bursting open. I bought 6 to 9 months thinking that a 5 month old would surely be fine in it. We could not keep the buttons closed over his chunky legs. But at least no one could see. Kellen wore the same blue booties as Christopher did the day he was baptised, and he also wore a very special necklace that belonged to Christopher's Nana's Father. The mass was beautiful and Kellen smiled and laughed through the whole service. Even as Father Paul blessed him and poured the water over his head. Not a single peep, just smiles and laughter.

I could not count how many times our family asked is he always like this? The reception after was so nice. It was amazing to see all my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and second cousins. They are always there whenever we come home, and it means so much to me. I feel so blessed to have Kellen surrounded with such a crazy, loud, loving family. Blessed.
New years eve was our last night in town. Nana, Papa, Aunt Deb and his Aunt Stephy were all on hand to babysit. Chris and I went out to dinner with all our friends and my sis and her man. The food was good, champagne bubbly, laughter loud. We rang in 2009 in a small pub in Ken.wood. Goodbye to 2008......... wow. What a year! You have a lot to live up to 2009!
The next am we packed up the car, the pups, the baby and pulled out of Cincy heading south on 75. We had such a wonderful time and want to thank everyone for making time for us, for watching Kellen, for just being our family and our friends. We love you!
